The survey revealed the realities hiring managers face when trying to find hourly employees:
Canadian hiring managers reported that while they were often swamped by resumes, they were frequently short on talent. One in three hiring managers told us that 20% or less of applicants were qualified for the job. This lack of qualified applicants translated into issues with hired employees: 45% of managers told us that a quarter or more of their workforce was not meeting their expectations.
